The Nigerian Air Force has converted its accident and emergency unit at the NAF Hospital in Abuja into a COVID-19 Management Centre.

Constructed and commissioned in 2019 by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sadique Abubakar, the A&E unit has been further upgraded with necessary medical equipment.

The conversion is part of the Armed Forces COVID-19 response team’s contribution to the national response.

In addition, the Air Force said it has also equipped and placed on standby the newly built 100-bunk student hostel at the Air Force Girls Comprehensive school in Abuja.
