The House of Representatives has set up an Adhoc committee to investigate the financial budgetary provisions, approvals and multilateral donations on skills acquisition and related programmes of the federal government and its agencies.
This is the sequel to a motion of urgent public importance raised by representative Emmanuel Egoh, questioning the social investment programme and skills acquisition programme of the federal government which he says are part of the sustainable tools for the eradication of unemployment amongst the youths but have not yielded desired results.
He believes that adequate provisions have not been put in place to ensure the effective monitoring and implementation of these programmes.
The committee is expected to submit its report in 9 weeks.
