The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a human trafficking syndicate comprising of six females and four males along with their driver.
The suspects were arrested on July 25 by a Joint Border patrol Team attached to Mai’adua Division, the syndicate was said to be on a transit to Libya.
In a press briefing held at the Command Headquarters, Katsina the Police Public Relations Officer, Gambo Isah announced that members of the syndicate who are mostly indigenes of Ogun, Oyo, Delta, Ekiti and Osun states were intercepted in a motor vehicle driven by one Alkasim Ibrahim of Zango LGA of Katsina state.
Meanwhile, the command had succeeded in killing three bandits and recovered one AK-47 rifle, six motorcycles, 17 cows and 40 sheep in Dutsinma Local Government Area of katsina state.
