The Kano State Governor, Abdullah Ganduje has commiserated with the families of Kano flood victims from this year’s rainy season, praying for Allah’s Blessing and Forgiveness on the reposed souls of those who died.
He passed the condolence message to their families and the entire people of Kano state, during the State Executive Council meeting, held at Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, Monday.
“We are saddened by the deaths caused by flood during this year’s rainy season. May Allah forgive their wrongdoings and reward their good deeds with Jannah. May Allah give their families the fortitude to bear the loss,” he prayed.
Recounting that, after those who lost their lives, many more lost their properties and farmlands, “We are going to assist those who lost their properties.”
He also acknowledged that in some of the affected areas, culverts were touched, “All affected areas will be put into consideration, the government is coming up with some strategies to avert damaging reoccurrence.”
