For the women, in a clash of youth taking on experience, Defender Babes recorded their first win of the campaign. The ladies of the Nigeria Civil Defence, who lost their two previous matches, left no room for complacency in their clash against youthful Adorable Angels and went on to win 36-33.
In other results of the women category of the league, Seasiders Babes comfortable defeated Desert Queens 23-16 while Edo Dynamos showed superiority over Imo Grasshoppers, recording a 18-15 win.
In the match between two champions, defending champions Safety Babes were purposeful as they defeated former champions, Plateau Peacocks 22-20.
In the men’s category, Kano Pillars bounced back to winning ways, punishing COAS Shooters 31-21 while De Defenders defeated Rima Strikers 29-22.
After two losses, Plateau Vipers recorded their first win of the campaign after defeating Kada Stars 23-19.
De Defenders Abudulmojeeb Mudashiru and Ada Okey of Safety Babes received the most valuable player awards for matchday 3.
