The Director-General of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Mr Salihu Lukman is asking President Muhammadu Buhari, to probe and prosecute all culprits in the abduction of over three hundred students in Katsina state.

Mr Lukman in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja says the circumstances leading to the abduction of a large number of students of Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State was questionable.

The Statement adds that, more than any moment in the life of the APC administration at the federal level, this is the time President Muhammadu Buhari is dearly required to demonstrate his no-nonsense toga, which is what earned him the love of ordinary Nigerians.

He expressed concerns that without the collaboration of security personnel, traditional rulers, community leaders and citizens, there is no way several school children be taken without clear information of their whereabouts for more than 72 hours.

The PGF DG insists on the arrest of all security personnel, traditional and religious leaders who are suspected to be accomplices to the current wave of kidnappings, the murder of Nigerians, and all the organised crimes taking place in the country.

He further added that the situation requires thorough introspection by not just the nation’s security agencies but also an imposition of severe sanctions against security personnel, traditional and community leaders where kidnappings, banditry and all the crimes consuming the lives of innocent Nigerians are taking place.
