Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal has signed the 2021 Appropriation Bill into law after the state House of Assembly has passed the bill on Tuesday and presented it to the governor for assent on Wednesday night.

Governor Tambuwal while signing the bill commended the state assembly for their usual cooperation and the speedy passage of it.

He says despite the paucity of funds and the challenges that come with the year 2020 the government of Sokoto state has been able to meet up with its obligation to the people of the state and also embark on projects that have a direct bearing on the wellbeing of the people.

The governor also used the occasion and appealed to the general public to always observe COVID-19 protocols saying the pandemic is real.

He commended members of the opposition party in the state assembly for putting the interest of the state ahead of any political interest.

The State Assembly at its one hundred and twentieth sitting passed a total of one hundred and seventy-six billion six hundred and eighty-five million five hundred and thirty-five thousand six hundred and forty-three naira forty seventy kobo as the state 2021 budget.
