The Police have arrested four suspected kidnappers and killed one with the help of local vigilantes in Gombe State.
This comes after a failed attempt to adopt a man in the Bileri and Filiya area of the state.
Addressing journalists at the state police command, the Commissioner of Police, Maikudi Shehu, said the suspects confessed to have been hired by another man in Adamawa state, who believes that a reasonable ransom could be extracted from the victim.
The Police Commissioner confirming a surge in kidnapping across the state noted that the command will not sleep until it rid the state of the menace.
