The Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku is asking residents of the state to be united and remain vigilant in the fight against insecurity in the state.

Ishaku insists that his administration is working tirelessly in collaboration with security agencies in a bid to end kidnappings and senseless killing of law-abiding citizens by hoodlums who are bent on causing disaffection and mayhem on residents.

While soliciting more support of the residents to nip the nefarious acts in the bud, the Governor urged them not to lower their guards in adhering to the safety measures of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is contained in his Easter goodwill message signed and issued by his Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan-Abu.

He urged the Christian faithful to constantly remind themselves of the virtues of peace and forgiveness which Jesus Christ amply demonstrated throughout his trial and crucifixion and to allow these virtues to reflect in their conduct and relationship with fellow Christians and humanity generally.

Governor Ishaku expressed happiness that peace has gradually returned to the troubled spots and communities in Taraba State as he assures that everything will be done to ensure that this achievement is sustained.

He pleaded with Tarabans of all ethnic backgrounds, religious faiths, and political affiliations to forget their differences and to work together in the interest of peace and development.

The Governor also reminded residents of the need to take the COVID-19 vaccine which is now available in the state.
