The Ogun State Government has inducted 71 principals across public secondary schools in the rural areas of the three senatorial districts of the state.

The state chairman of the Teaching Service Commission, Joshua Olalekan, who represented the government at the event, said this will give the necessary leadership and improve the dwindling standard of education in the state.

At a ceremony held at the Lisabi Grammar School in Abeokuta, the state capital, on Tuesday the newly promoted principals were charged to adhere strictly to professional ethics, fairness, equity and good performance in the discharge of their duties.

Speaking further, Olalekan noted that plans have also been concluded to recruit 3,000 teaching interns across the three senatorial districts of the state, to further boost the standard of education.
