Ekiti Govt Kicks Off Economic Development And Investment Summit

The Economic Development and Investment Summit (Fountain Summit) has kicked off in Ekiti State.

The Economic Development and Investment Summit (Fountain Summit) has kicked off in Ekiti State.

The annual event which was launched for the first time on Thursday is aimed at showcasing the state’s socio-economic progress, and position Ekiti State as an attractive destination for investors.

Tagged: Investment Attractiveness and Economic Development: Lessons for Sub-Nationals, key speakers at the event included Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki; Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai, and the host Governor, Kayode Fayemi.

At the end of the summit, recommendations from the keynote address, as well as the various panels will be collated and reviewed by the Ekiti State Economic Council, and subsequently presented to the Ekiti State Executive Council for adoption.

These recommendations will cover how Ekiti State can, among other things, drive double-digit economic growth over the next decade and also attract the necessary private sector investment to drive economic growth.
