PDP Governors Hold Closed-Door Meeting With Mimiko In Ondo

Four serving Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors are presently meeting with the former Ondo state governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko behind closed doors in Ondo State.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State arrive in Ondo State


Four serving Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors are currently meeting behind closed doors with the former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko.

The governors are Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto.

Other politicians present for the meeting include, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi;  former member of House of Reps., Joseph Akinlaja;  Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Jumoke Akindele; former governorship aspirant Banji Okunomo, former Chief Judge of Ondo State, Olasehinde Kumuyi; Chief of Staff to Mimiko, Kola Ademujimi, and others.

Speaking with journalists after the closed-door meeting, the Chairman of the PDP governor’s forum, Aminu Tambuwal noted that the governors were in the state to consult with Dr. Mimiko over their plans to win him back into the PDP and embark on an agenda he termed ‘The Rescue Nigeria Project’.

Mimiko commended the governors for the visit, noting that he will consult further with his associates and supporters and make public his next line of action regarding the possibility of rejoining the PDP.
