Nigerians on Friday night joined the rest of the world to usher in the new year with prayers and jubilation.
During a visit to some churches where crossover services were held, many worshippers were seen praying into 2022 and after the ‘Happy New Year’ declaration, it was jubilation everywhere.
After another pandemic-ridden year accompanied by rising cases of COVID, insecurity, and economic challenges among others, most Nigerians believe they have a reason to celebrate.
While worshippers vibe to melodious sounds of songs and beats, others took to the streets to shoot fireworks as a way of celebrating the beginning of another year.
The photos below, taken by Channels TV’s Sodiq Adelakun, capture how the crossover went in some parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
