Fire gutted the popular Ogbe-Ijoh Market in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, destroying several goods worth millions of naira.
The market is well known to be one of the biggest fish markets across the country.
Although the cause of the fire incident is still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, residents and shop owners were seen running helter skelter to rescue what is left of their respective goods.

Channels Television gathered that firefighters from the State Fire Service later came in to put off the raging fire before it could escalate to other sections of the market.
The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Micheal Tidi, confirmed the incident to Channels Television via a telephone conversation on Sunday.
He said the fire which started at about 2 pm on Sunday, was triggered by a mentally-challenged woman who was clearing refuse at the market premises.
According to the Chairman, the fire spread beyond the dry refuse and then onto other shops in the market after the woman began to cook and walked away briefly.
