FG Mourns Ahmadu Bello’s Grandson, Sends High-Powered Delegation To Sokoto

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the government and people of Sokoto State over the demise of Magajin Garin Sokoto, Hassan Marafa Danbaba.

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the government and people of Sokoto State over the demise of Magajin Garin Sokoto, Hassan Marafa Danbaba.

He was the grandson of the late Premier of Northern Nigeria Region Sir Ahmadu Bello.

The President sent his condolences through a high-power delegation comprising four ministers, led by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

Malami said the President was shocked by the news and described the demise of the Magajin Gari as a great loss not for Sokoto State alone but for the entire nation.

He also prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.

Other members of the delegation included: the Minister of Water Resources Suleiman Adamu, Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika and the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, who all took turns to offer prayers for the family.

Magajin Gari died on Saturday morning in Kaduna State after a brief illness and was buried immediately in accordance with Islamic rites.
