Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has called on his supporters to remain calm after the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered him to vacate his seat for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Umahi made the call as he addressed members of the APC following a party stakeholders and State Executive Council meeting held in Abakaliki.

He said current happenings will not affect the execution of ongoing projects across the state.
Umahi, at the meeting, also called on his supporters and stakeholders to ensure a transparent process in the selection of candidates for the imminent local government elections in the state.
