University students across Oyo State are protesting over the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The protesting students are asking the Federal Government and the lecturers to find a common ground and end the strike.
In Ogbomosho, the students of LAUTECH University barricaded the major road in front of the school, calling on the Governor of the state, Seyi Makinde to opt-out of ASUU as some other state Universities have done so academic activities could resume.
The SUG President noted that LAUTECH has been through so many industrial crises in the past and should not be made to face more hardship.
A similar protest is ongoing in Ibadan as the southwest arm of NANS is currently protesting and calling for an end to the ASUU crisis.
They have vowed to shut down the Iwo road end of the town.
