The Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Muhammed Baba Shehu, and his driver have been abducted.
His orderly Alhassan Habeeb, was also killed in the attack.
The Public Relations Officer of the State Police command, Ramhan Nansel confirmed the incident to Channels Television.

He said the perpetrators blocked the Akwanga/Keffi road on Friday night, shooting sporadically in the air, and in the process shot the Chairman’s orderly while carrying out the abduction.
He added that search teams have been deployed to the area comprising of a joint team of Mobile Police personnel, Conventional Police Officers, Vigilante, Hunters and the Military.
Baba and his entourage were on their way to Lafia from Keffi when the incident occurred.
