The Zamfara Deputy Governor, Senator Hassan Muhammad has sympathised with residents of the state over the recent attack by bandits in Auki district, Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.

Senator Muhammad during the visit to the area described the attack as an act of insubordination and disruption of peace and security in the area.

The Deputy Governor said the present administration of Governor Bello Matawalle right from its inception has been trying to adopt many workable strategies for addressing insecurity challenges in all parts of the State.

He added that the peace and reconciliation process initiated by the government gave a fair hearing to all parties involved.

According to him, what is happening is the evil handiwork of the remnants of culprits who refused to accept reconciliation, and the State Government would not in any way fold its arms to allow criminals be conducting their heinous activities of killing innocent citizens for just no cause.

While sympathising and condoling the Emir of Bungudu Alhaji Hassan Attahiru, Bungudu Local Government, people of Auki District, families, relations and the entire people of Zamfara State over the killings, he prayed that Allah grants those who lost their lives Jannatul Firdausi and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

He directed the Local Government Sole Administrator Muhammad Maiturare to ensure urgent delivery of the State Government donations to the affected families.

In their separate speeches, the Emir of Bungudu, the Sole Administrator and the District Head of the area called on the State Government to mobilise more security personnel in the area for the protection of the lives and properties of their people.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government Kabiru Balarabe (Lamidon Kaura), Chief of Staff Government House Ibrahim Suleman, Emir of Bungudu, Local Government officials, Hon Special Adviser Alhaji Suleman Zumunci, Hon Special Adviser Sani Danjuma Dambo, among many top Government officials.
