The Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, Idris Dauda Dabban, on Monday, decorated 343 officers recently promoted.
Among them is one Salisu Gambo Gawuna who was promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
Other beneficiaries include 288 Police Inspectors who were promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police II and 16 Assistant Superintendent of Police to Deputy Superintendent of Police as well as 38 Assistant Superintendent of Police II to Assistant Superintendent of Police I.
While congratulating the officers, the police commissioner reminded the beneficiaries of the huge responsibilities placed on them by virtual of their promotion.
He stated that to whom much is given, much is expected, further charging them to perform up to expectation.
One of the officers, Salisu Gambo Gawuna, was promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) commended the Police Service Commission, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba as well as the Katsina State Police Commissioner, for considering them.
He pledged, on behalf of the officers, to always remain committed and up doing in the discharge of their assigned responsibilities.
