The Gbagyi Elders Forum has decried the high rate of insecurity and deliberate marginalization of their people and community in Niger state.

Justice Garba Tumaka (rtd) made this known at a press briefing after the inauguration of its maiden election of the Forum’s executives mandated to pilot the affairs of the group in Minna.

Tumaka reiterated the commitment of the forum to reverse the trends of the Gbagyi challenges through youth empowerment and provision of logistics support to tackle insecurity.

He maintained that they can no longer condone the marginalization of the Gbagyi.

He called for Gbagyi people to unite and advised youths to desist from being used as political thugs before, during and after the forthcoming general elections.

Similarly, the forum’s secretary, former Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Joseph Doma, explained that the forum is a non-political organization aimed at promoting unity and progress of the Gbagyi tribe globally.
