The Special Adviser on Sports and Youth Development to the Governor of Kwara State, Ibrahim Attahiru, has resigned his position.

In a letter addressed to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Sunday, the aide cited personal reasons for his resignation.

The letter was written to the governor through the Office of the Secretary to the State Government in Ilorin.

Attahiru also thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve in his cabinet.

“I wish to formally tender my resignation as the Special Advisor on Sports and Youth Development,” the letter read in part.

“Your Excellency sir, my resignation is due to personal reasons. Thanking Your Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State for the opportunity and confidence reposed in me.”
