The Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina on Monday recommissioned its amenity wards and pediatric surgical wards renovated by the management of the hospital using its 2022 capital appropriation.

This is part of measures taken by the hospital to provide qualitative healthcare service delivery and address medical tourism among wealthy Nigerians that always rush out of the country for medical treatment.

This project according to the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital Dr. Suleiman Bello will apart from uplifting the image of the hospital also improve its revenue base for better service delivery to the teeming patients patronizing the hospital.

He further expressed optimism that, with this project, the well-to-do Nigerians will start patronizing the homegrown hospitals for care rather than traveling abroad.
