Hisbah Arrests 19 For Allegedly Conducting Same Sex Marriage Ceremony In Kano

 

The Hisbah, Islamic Law Enforcement Agents have arrested 15 females and 4 males for allegedly organizing a same sex marriage in Kano State.

The Public Relations Officer of the Command Lawal Ibrahim Fagge who confirmed the arrest to our correspondent said the suspected groom and bride, Abba and Mujahid, escaped after the arrival of officials of the agency.

“We were able to arrest 15 females who camouflaged like they were celebrating a birthday. However, we had gotten intelligence that it was a planned same-sex marriage between one Abba and Mujahid,” Fagge said.

He added that “the owner of the event center and 3 of his staff were also arrested.”

Fagge further stated that the command will not allow such indictment and illegal behavior to continue in Kano State as it is against the constitution of the state and Nigeria.
