Soludo Condemns Cult-Related Killings In Obosi, Vows To Apprehend Perpetrators

Governor Soludo has vowed to bring to justice, all who partook in recent cult killings in Anambra State.

The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has condemned the cult-related war among rival groups and subsequent killings in Obosi and Okpuno in Idemili North and Awka South Council Areas respectively.

In Obosi, the President General of the Community, Hon. Ike Okolo was reportedly shot dead in a petrol station on Monday, 2nd January, 2023, by gunmen, while in Obi Maduka’s compound within Nodu town square, Nodu Okpuno, gunmen killed four people identified as Onyiebo Okoye, Kenechukwu Okeke, Jude Ebenezar and Obinna Maduka.

Governor Soludo in a statement by his aide, Christian Aburime, condemned the ‘mindless killings’ in the strongest terms and assured that the perpetrators will be apprehended and decisively dealt with, even if they have ran out of town.

Soludo stressed that the killers will be hunted down to face the full wrath of the law.

He further stressed that all linked to the cults that fought within the communities affected, will surely be tracked down and dealt with decisively in accordance with the law.

He called on the Anambra people to go about their normal duties and enjoy the new year, as the challenges are isolated cases that will be nipped in the bud soon.
