The All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council has said that those against the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the party are hypocrites treating the presidential race with bias.

Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday shortly after a flag off ceremony of the distribution of one thousand bags of assorted food items donated to the Christian community in Zamfara State, Senator Kabiru Marafa, said those against the party’s Muslim/Muslim ticket are being economical with truth because politics is not about religion but about choices.

According to Marafa who is Coordinator of the Asiwaju/ Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, the gesture of reaching out to Christians is to put smiles on their faces and to assure them that there is nothing ominous about the APC’s presidential ticket.

He said, “The Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign council has donated 1,000 bags of rice and corn flour to the Christian community in our state to celebrate Christmas and the New Year.

“The gesture is aimed at joining our Christian brothers in celebrating the festive season which we also got the full support of Governor Bello Matawalle in achieving this.

“This issue of Muslim-Muslim ticket that people are crying about, most of it is hypocrisy because politics is not about religion or anything, it is about choice and nobody says there is just one political party in Nigeria.”

Senator Marafa added that the APC in the state has put in place strategies for the party’s victory at all levels

He expressed optimism that the Christian community will contribute in creating awareness and sensitization on the need to vote for the APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as Governor Bello Matawalle who is seeking re-election and all APC Candidates across the state.

Sen Marafa urged all to continue to pray for the growth, peace, unity, security and development of Zamfara State as well as that of the nation, especially as the 2023 Elections draw nearer.
