Police Arrest Suspect For Murder Of Stepmom And Daughter In Kano

Police say the suspect used a screwdriver to stab his stepmother.


 

A 20-year-old man named Ghadaffi Sagir has been detained by police in Kano State on suspicion of killing both his sister and stepmother Malama Rabi.

SP. Abdullahi Kiyawa, the command’s spokesman disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday.

According to him, the incident took place on Saturday near Rijiyar Zaki, close to Layin Dorawanyan Kifi, in the Ungogo Local Government Area, at about 11:00 p.m.

He explained that “the suspect used a screwdriver to stab his stepmother on her neck and forehead and strangled her daughter with her head tie until she is no longer breathing.”

Kiyawa said the suspect was arrested and confessed to the crime, adding that the police have commenced an investigation into the crime.

Preliminary findings suggest that the suspect killed his stepmother, Malama Rabi for allegedly causing separation between his own biological mother and his father.
