Armed Forces Remembrance Day Preparation: 17 Brigade Pledges Continued Support For Fallen Heroes Families

The authorities say the army has been running scholarships for children of deceased officers.

The Nigerian Army has pledged continued to support to the families of the fallen heroes to ensure that they get all the welfare packages of the army appropriately.

The Commander, 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Katsina, Brigadier General Ibikunle Ademola Ajose disclosed this at the Brigade Joint Cemetery shortly after he laid wreath for the fallen heroes as part of the weeklong activities to mark this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

According to Ajose, the Nigerian Army has already been running scholarship along with various empowerment and vocational programs meant to better the lives of the children and wives left behind by the deceased officers.

He explained that, the day’s occasion is windows outreach which starts from coming to the cemetery to pray for the fallen heroes, their wives including their families.
