Gunmen have kidnapped the wives and children of Justice Sani Muhammed (rtd), the Chief of Mutum Biyu in Taraba State.
It was gathered that the kidnappers invaded Muhammed’s residence in Jalingo, the state capital in the early hours of Thursday and whisked the victims to an unknown destination.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abdullahi Usman, confirmed the incident to Channels Television via a telephone interview on Friday.

He explained that the Taraba State Police Command will leave no stone unturned in securing the release of the kidnap victims.
Sources stated that the traditional leader was not in the compound when the incident occurred, but had been contacted by the abductors for ransom.
Justice Muhammed (rtd) is a second-class chief of Mutum Biyu under Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State.
