Kwankwaso Lacks Capacity, Structure To Rule Nigeria – Ex-NNPP Chieftain

The former North East Zonal Secretary of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. Babayo Liman, has said that the presidential candidate of the party, Rabiu Kwankwaso lacks the capacity to rule Nigeria.

He said this on Sunday in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital during a press conference announcing his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“The leadership of Kwankwaso, he proved to us that he has no capacity to rule Nigeria. Let me give you an example, a problem erupted in most of the states under the NNPP. For instance, in my own state, there is a problem that erupted between the executives and the candidates. They are no longer living in peace and we have no reason why we should not to put the matter to the headquarters.

“We reported the case to Kwankwaso being the leader five times in five months, he cannot resolve the problem of Bauchi State. How can Kwankwaso resolve the problem of Nigeria if he cannot resolve the problem of a particular party that has not more than 30 executives? Then he doesn’t have the capacity to rule this nation. That is one of the reasons that discouraged me,” Liman said.

Listing more reasons that made him dump the NNPP, Liman said the party lacks structure needed to win a presidential election unlike the PDP, which according to him, has structure everywhere having ruled the country for 16 years.

Liman noted that out of 16 executives elected to lead the party in the North-East, only four of them were functioning. He labelled the other 12 members of the executives as ghost and said he can’t work with ghosts.

The former Zonal Secretary also said that he is convinced that the administration of Atiku Abubakar under the PDP will return security to the country which he said has been ravaged by insecurity.

According to Liman, under PDP a bag of rice sold for N8,000 while it is selling for over N40,000 today. He said Atiku will make rice and other food items affordable to Nigerians again and eradicate poverty from the country.

Liman noted that being the one who assisted former President Olusegun Obasanjo as Vice President, Atiku is well positioned to deliver on his promises and move the country forward.
