The Independent National Electoral (INEC) has commenced the distribution of election materials from the Registration Area centres to the various polling units in Kaduna State.
At Ungwan Sariki Ward in Kaduna North Local Government area, distribution of election materials commenced at 7 O’clock this morning.
The ward has 61 polling units and 31,078 registered voters who are expected to vote in today’s election.

It is the same situation at other Registration Area centres in Kaduna South, Chikun and Igabi Local Government Areas which are among the four metropolitan councils that make up the state capital.
There is also an impressive security presence at the distribution centres provided by a combined team of policemen NSCDC personnel, and other sister security agencies.
Meanwhile, voting is yet to commence in any of the polling units visited by our correspondent, Chimezie Enyiocha, in Kaduna North and Kaduna South Local Governments as of 8:21 am.
