Katsina ADC Assembly Candidate Accepts Election Outcome, Urges Co-contestants To Do So

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) House of Assembly candidate for the Katsina Local Government of Katsina State Hauwa Jibrin on Tuesday accepted the outcome of Saturday’s governorship and State Assembly elections in the state.

Although Hon. Jibrin lost her election for the state House of Assembly seat despite working tremendously hard with her team across the 12 wards of Katsina Local Government Area, Hauwa called on her fellow contestants to accept the election result in the interest of the state.

While congratulating the governor-elect Dikko Radda for his deserved victory, she on Tuesday observed that it is necessary for all contestants in the election to remember that only God gives power.

She stressed the need for the contestants to adhere strictly to the teaching of their faith that powers come from God and begin to pray for the success of the incoming administration to make Katsina State great.

The ADC candidate, therefore, implored the incoming administration to focus more on the welfare of women and the teeming youths in the state who she said have been adversely affected by insecurity and economic hardship in society.

“I appreciate the commitment, dedication, and contribution of all ADC members in Katsina Local Government, my campaign team and teaming supporters, as well as the media, for the journey so far.

“I am also assuring them that I will not rest in the assignment and determination for a better standard of living for the women, youths, and other vulnerable people in Katsina Local Government.”
