Messi Surpasses Ronaldo As Footballer With Most Guinness World Records

Lionel Messi is the footballer with the most number of Guinness World Records, the organisation said Tuesday.

Lionel Messi is the footballer with the most number of Guinness World Records, the organisation said Tuesday.

According to a chart shared by the British organisation, the Inter Miami forward has 41 records, one ahead of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.

“For now, Messi is clear of Ronaldo 👀 Lionel Messi has 41 @GWR titles whereas Cristiano Ronaldo has 40…” Guinness World Records wrote.

Asides from Messi and Ronaldo, other players with mentioned in the chart include Robert Lewandowski with nine Guinness World Records; Kylian Mbappe has five while Brazillian star Neymar is on four.

Some of Messi’s records are: the most goals scored in a La Liga career; most assists in a La Liga career and being the first player to score in five different World Cups.
