The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) authorities have demolished the Timber Shed in the Lugbe area of the city.
Monday’s exercise along Ring Road 3, Federal Housing Authority, began in the morning.
A joint task security team was on the ground to ensure a hitch-free exercise. The demolition exercise, however, caused traffic gridlock in the area.
Before the demolition, the FCT Director of Development Control Mukhtar Galadima told traders in the area that the exercise will be carried out on June 19th.
But after pleas, the demolition was extended, one year after a notice was handed to them.
