VIDEO: Bowen University Confers Honorary Doctorate On John Momoh

Dr Momoh delivered the Convocation Lecture titled 'Deconstructing the Nigerian Conundrum as a Panacea for National Cohesion and Transformation'.


The Chairman, Channels Media Group, Dr John Momoh (C), receives an honorary Doctor of Media degree at the 18th Convocation of Bowen University, Iwo on Friday, November 3, 2023.

 

The Chairman, Channels Media Group, Dr John Momoh, OON, was recently recognised with an honorary Doctor of Media degree at the 18th Convocation of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun. 

Accepting the doctorate on Friday, Dr Momoh expressed gratitude to God and the management of Bowen University for the honour.

“I’m deeply, deeply honoured and humbled to stand before you today to accept this prestigious honorary degree of Doctor of Media, Honoris Causa,” he said.

“This moment is a testament to the incredible journey that my career has taken me on. And I am profoundly grateful to God and grateful to this esteemed institution for bestowing upon me this extraordinary recognition.”

 

Dr Momoh also delivered the Convocation Lecture titled ‘Deconstructing the Nigerian Conundrum as a Panacea for National Cohesion and Transformation’.

According to him, the Nigerian conundrum is a sum of the intractable problems that can be traced from the country’s post-colonial period up to the point of independence.

The Channels Media Group chairman also planted a tree on the occasion, cementing his legacy at the esteemed institution.

With a CGPA of 4.95, Opeyemi Onaopemipo Oyelakin was recognised as the Best Graduating Student, receiving a cheque of N1 million for the feat.
