A lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, Dr Ayo Ojediran, is dead.

The lecturer was said to have slumped in his office on Tuesday and rushed to the university’s medical centre but he could not survive it.

Speaking on the incident on Wednesday, the President of the Faculty of Education Students Association of Nigeria, Victor Adesokan, said he was with Ojediran the night before his death.

Adesokan said the deceased, whom he described as a father, complained of headache, adding that the lecturer appeared very weak before he died on Tuesday.

The Public Relations Officer of the university, Abiodun Olanrewaju, described the sudden death of the lecturer as unfortunate and a great loss.
