Students Remain A Priority To My Govt – Otti

The Abia State Governor Alex Otti has reiterated his government’s resolve to make students a priority and recalled their role in his emergence as the leader of the South-East state. 

He said this at the NANS JCC inauguration at Queen Elizabeth Chapel Hall, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, Abia State.

According to the governor, education remains a priority and soon the government will roll out its plans for the sector.

But he said: “We need the patience of the student community to achieve a lot”.

The governor who spoke through his Deputy Chief of Staff Chinedu Ekeke admonished the newly inaugurated NAN JCC executives and its members to prioritise their commitment to serve.

The outgoing chairman of NANS JCC Abia State Ogadimma Ogbonna expressed confidence in the new leadership to bring about, peace, unity, and progress to the Abia student community.

He, on behalf of the new NANS JCC leader Jacob Nwaoma, the Council of SUG Presidents in Abia State, and all NAN stakeholders, passed a vote of confidence on the remarkable strides of the Otti government.

In his acceptance speech, Nwaoma urged the government to review its policies on education to make it affordable for Nigerian students.
