Otti’s Wife Welcomes First Baby Of The Year In Abia

The baby Chiziterem Ikechukwu was born at exactly 12:02 am on 01/01/2024 and weighed 2.5 kg at the point of delivery.


 

Priscilla Otti, the wife of the Governor of Abia state, has welcomed the first baby of the year at Okpulo Ukwu Health Centre in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of the state and presented gift items, and cash donations to the mother.

The baby Chiziterem Ikechukwu was born at exactly 12:02 am on 01/01/2024 and weighed 2.5 kg at the point of delivery.

At the health centre, the Governor’s wife said it is a thing of joy to welcome the first baby of the year.

She said “the birth of a baby brings so much joy to the mother and with the commitment of the state government towards improving the health sector. I advise the mother to do exclusive breastfeeding, it benefits a lot and helps the baby grow with proper nutrients”.

While the Governor’s wife prayed for the baby, she called on the parents to devote maximum time to his upbringing.

 

In her remarks, the manager of the health centre Ihesienye Uloaku thanked the Governor’s wife for her kind gesture towards the baby and for choosing the place for her visitation.

The father of the baby Albert Ikechukwu who hailed from Mbubo in Isiala Ngwa North LGA of Abia State could not hide his joy but thanked the Abia Governor’s wife for paying the child’s hospital bills and donating gifts to them.

 

Meanwhile, the wife of the Governor also visited the state hospital at Amachara in Umuahia where she received the second baby of the year whom she named Ihuoma and the third she called Nmesoma.

She also showered them with gifts and cash donations, adding that they are God’s first gift to the state for the year.
