Bandits Kill 17, Kidnap 36 Others In Fresh Southern Kaduna Attack

 

At least 17 people were reported killled and 36 others kidnapped following an attack by bandits on kunkurai, Dokan Karji and Angwan Sako communities in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The police authorities are yet to comment on the incident, but a former councillor of the ward, Aminu Khalid told Channels Television that the bandits invaded the Angwan Sako community on Tuesday, killed eight people and kidnapped 58 others.

He said that the bandits continued the attack the following day at Dokan Karji and Kunkurai villages where they killed two and seven people respectively.

The former councillor disclosed that 22 out of the kidnap victims were later rescued through the joint effort of the local vigilante groups while the rest were taken to an unknown destination by the bandits.

He called on the Federal Government to deploy more military personnel and other security forces to the kauru local government to flush the bandits in the area.
