Seven children who went missing in Bauchi State a few years ago have been found and reunited with their parents.

During a state ceremony at the Government House, the police officially handed over the children who were reportedly trafficked to other parts of the country to Governor Bala Mohammed.

Speaking further on what transpired, the Commissioner of Police in Bauchi Auwal Mohammed said the children were sold for amounts ranging from N300,000 to N400,000.

The syndicate involved in the alleged trafficking was apprehended by the police authorities in Kano State and has since transferred the case to the Bauchi State Police Command.

While expressing concern over the development, Governor Bala pledged to provide one million naira each in support of each child’s education and cautioned parents to take on greater responsibility.
