Yobe Govt Enrolls Over 3,000 Beneficiaries In Healthcare Scheme

Yobe State Government has enrolled over three hundred thousand beneficiaries into its six programmes of contributory healthcare management schemes in the last four years.

Yobe State Government has enrolled over three hundred thousand beneficiaries into its six programmes of contributory healthcare management schemes in the last four years.

The Executive Secretary of the agency Babagana Tijjani in an exclusive interview with Channels Television in Damaturu revealed that 191,000 civil servants have so far been enrolled in its formal sector programme.

Tijjani explained the other one hundred thousand beneficiaries have also been registered under the informal programme which consists of equity, and vulnerable programmes among others.

According to him, the agency has a ten-year strategic plan and hopes to achieve at least 35 to 40 percent of the proposed enrollees at the end of the year 2024.
