Kaduna Govt Provides Psycho-Social Support For Rescued Kuriga Children

The Kaduna State Government has moved the rescued Kuriga schoolchildren to a facility where they will undergo psycho-social therapy and counselling before being handed over to their parents.

The children were taken to the centre shortly after they met with Governor Uba Sani at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House on Monday.

The arrangement which is under the supervision of the Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, and the Ministry of Health is to ensure that the rescued children are in good mental health and psychological condition before they will reunite with their families.

The General Officer Commanding of One Mechanised Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Mayirenso Saraso during the handover of the children to Governor Uba on Monday, disclosed that six out of the 137 of them were undergoing medical treatment at a military hospital in Kaduna.
