Supporters of the Edo State Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo, on Friday, thronged the Benin Airport to welcome him from Abuja.
Okpebholo and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa; a former governor Adams Oshiomhole, among others had visited President Bola Tinubu in Abuja shortly after the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate won the September 21 governorship poll in Edo.
Days after the keenly contested poll, the incoming governor promised to fulfil his campaign promises to the Edo people, stating his desire is to work for them and bring development to the state.
He gave the assurance during a thank-you road tour around major streets in Benin City after the Abuja visit.
He was accompanied by the Deputy Governor-Elect, rHeeinstated Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, and other leaders of the APC.
