Ondo Anti Corruption Commission Receives 36 Petitions In Seven Months — Official

 

The Chairman of The Ondo State Public Complaints, Financial Crimes, and Anti-Corruption Commission (SPFACC), Justice Williams Akintoroye says the commission has received 36 petitions in the last seven months.

Justice Akintoroye dropped this hint in an interview with newsmen in Akure, the state capital.

According to him, the petitions include both written and oral complaints and cover cases involving government officials currently under investigation.

He stressed that all complaints before the commission are properly scrutinised, adding that the commission is fully committed to transparency and impartiality.

Justice Akintoroye noted that 75 per cent of investigations have been completed on the cases, while certain cases are ready to be forwarded to the Ministry of Justice for prosecution.

He further revealed that all investigations on the cases remain thorough, with criminal matters carefully reviewed in partnership with similar agencies, including the Oyo State Anti-Corruption Agency (OYACA) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The retired jurist requested for additional resources, such as expanded office space, more vehicles, and increased staff to enhance the Commission’s efficacy.

He disclosed that the commission is working on unveiling an official website to allow petitioners to file their complaints remotely.
