Fireboy DML and Asake’s hit single “Bandana” has been certified silver in the United Kingdom.
This milestone marks Asake’s first-ever certification, highlighting Afrobeats’ rapid growth. According to the streaming platform, the genre has seen a 1,200% increase on Spotify since 2017.
The certification, awarded by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), signifies that “Bandana” has sold over 200,000 units in the UK.
Asake, whose real name is Ahmed Ololade, has been making significant strides in the music industry.
