Residents of Ondo State are currently at the polls to elect a governor.

Eighteen candidates were cleared for the race according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is running for the post of Governor for the first election after he replaced Governor Rotimi Akeredolu who died last year. His major opponent is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Agboola Ajayi who also deputised Akeredolu.
