Gov Radda Approves N248m For Starter Packs To Craft Village Graduate Trainees

The governor reassured residents of the state of his administration's commitment towards transforming unemployed youth from passive recipients to active economic contributors.

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Radda, on Monday approved the sum of N248 Million for the provision of starter packs to 634 graduate trainees of the Katsina Youth Craft Village.

The governor reassured residents of the state of his administration’s commitment towards transforming unemployed youth from passive recipients to active economic contributors.

This initiative according to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, aligns with the administration’s core objective of removing youth from unproductive environments and integrating them into meaningful economic ventures.

“By providing these starter packs, we are not just offering support, but creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods and economic independence for our youth,” the statement added.

The Center Coordinator of the Katsina Youth Craft Village, Engineer Kabir Kofar-Soro, emphasized that the program aims to ensure that, trainees meet both national and international skills standards, positioning them as potential job creators in their local communities.

Kofar-Soro, further urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the government gesture.

“This comprehensive approach underscores the state government’s dedication to nurturing human capital and creating sustainable economic opportunities”, he added.
