In a significant step towards supporting agricultural development and enhancing food security, a lawmaker representing Gada/Goronyo federal constituency, Bashir Usman Gorau, has distributed 3,500 pumping machines to irrigation farmers in his constituency.
This initiative aims to boost irrigation farming, address water scarcity challenges, and promote year-round agricultural productivity.
The machines, he said, were the best investment he could do to enhance productivity as majority of his constituents are into farming activities.
He added that the donations were not part of his constituency projects.
