Shettima Commiserates With Kukah Over Brother’s Death

 

Vice President Kashim Shettima, on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, has commiserated with the people of Ikulu Kingdom, Kamuru in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State over the death of Agwom Akulu, Yohanna Sidi Kukah.

Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived Ikulu Kingdom and was received by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Mathew Hassan Kukah. The deceased was a younger brother to the cleric.

The Vice President also used the moment to assure the people of the government’s commitment to promoting rural development.

The deceased was abducted in 2018 and his abductors had threatened to kill him over the failure of his family to raise a N20 million ransom then. But, eventually he was released.

He was abducted at his private residence in Anchuna village.

The kidnappers had initially demanded N100 million but it was reduced to N20 million when the family told them that they had no money.

One of the monarch’s guard was also abducted along with him.
