Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has commended the Minister of Health for establishing the Northwest Zonal Office of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in the state.
The governor expressed his appreciation during the presentation of a Certificate of Occupancy to the NHIA officials at the Government House chamber in Birnin Kebbi.
Governor Idris pledged his administration’s full support for the smooth operation of the NHIA in the state, describing the establishment of the zonal office as a major milestone for the people of Kebbi.

He also extended his gratitude to the Minister of Health, Prof. Ali Pate, and the NHIA management for selecting Kebbi State as the host for the office.
In addition, the governor announced the digitalization of Certificates of Occupancy through the Kebbi Geographic Information System (KEBGIS).
He emphasized that all matters concerning the issuance and recertification of Certificates of Occupancy must now be processed through KEBGIS, rather than the Ministry of Lands and Housing.
